Education & Support

Babysitter Course - A Must for Teens!

We have developed an educational program for those whom we trust to care for our younger children. This program is designed to help develop a strong set of sitter skills in order to assist in responsiveness to the needs and demands of the children being cared for. Emphasis in this course is placed on emergency care and accident prevention, with particular attention to the hazards that could occur at each stage of childhood development.

Using discussion and lecture methods, adolescents aged 11 or older are taught how to negotiate contracts maturley and how to conduct themselves ethically, reliably and responsibly. Child and Infant CPR and choking prevention are taught. A pre-test, entertainment box, final exam and course evaluation are used to assist in measuring the amount of learning achieved. Upon completion of this course, participants receive a Certificate of Completion.
