Auxiliary
The Pullman Regional Hospital Auxiliary
Pullman Regional Hospital Auxiliary exists to support patient comfort and healing needs through fundraising activities.
This mission is fulfilled through three main activities:
- Volunteer services that enhance patient experiences
- Fundraising activities to support patient comfort needs
- Special events to promote hospital goals in outreach services and other specially designated community efforts.
Pullman Regional Hospital Auxiliary activities also support the mission, vision and values of the hospital. Through a variety of fundraising efforts, the Auxiliary makes financial contributions to Pullman Regional Hospital for the purchase of patient care items. Since its inception in 1968, the Auxiliary has donated over $411,000 in such items.
In addition to fundraising activities, many of the Auxiliary members volunteer in a variety of capacities in the hospital. The Auxiliary manages and operates the hospital's Gift Garden completely through volunteer efforts.
Become an Auxiliary Member

Fundraising Activities
Each year the PRH Auxiliary carries on various fundraising activities. Funds raised from the following activities are donated to the hospital for patient comfort.
Gift Garden
The Gift Garden at Pullman Regional Hospital is our major source of funds. The Gift Garden offers a variety of gifts for patients, staff and the community including baby items, flowers, cards, jewelry, candy and patient comfort items.
Candy Sale
See's Candy is available for purchase in the Gift Garden during Christmas and Easter.
Christmas Tree Raffle
Each December the Auxiliary holds a Christmas Tree Raffle. Trees are decorated and donated by community businesses, hospital employees and departments.
Have-A-Heart
Orders are taken for Valentine's Day. Buyers can select from a variety of packaged Valentine offerings, from cookies to balloons, to mugs. Gifts are delivered to the recipient.
Auxiliary Volunteer Opportunities
When you become a member of the Auxiliary, you join a group of dedicated community members who are an integral part of the Pullman Regional Hospital family. The Auxiliary depends upon volunteers just like you. A variety of volunteer activities are available from knitting to patient escorting, working on one of the fundraising events, helping in the Gift Garden and more. We can match your skills, interests and availability. A little bit of your time is worth a great deal to the patients, visitors and staff at the hospital. Please consider volunteering just a few hours of your time.
Blood Drive
Inland Northwest Blood Center services the Palouse area. Draws are made each Monday from 1:00 PM to 5:30 PM at Pullman Regional Hospital. Volunteers interact with donors and serve them refreshments.
Gift Garden
Gift Garden volunteers keep the gift shop running so hospital visitors can purchase gifts and cards for patients and staff. The Gift Garden offers a variety of gifts for patients, staff and the community including baby items, fresh flowers, cards, jewelry, candy and patient comfort items. The Gift Garden is managed and staffed by Auxiliary volunteers.
Have-a-Heart
Orders are taken for Valentine' Day. Buyers may select from a variety of options. Volunteers are needed to assemble the orders and deliver them to the recipients. Vans are essential for delivery as balloons are included in many orders.
Holiday Tea
Each December hosts a tea. Auxiliary members, their friends and community members are invited to this traditional High Tea. Volunteers are needed to assist in baking, serving and/or hosting a table with decorations.
Information Desk
Information Desk volunteers are the "face" of Pullman Regional Hospital. They greet, direct and share information about the hospital, and, if needed, escort patients to where they are supposed to go. This is a great opportunity to interact with people.
Newborn Hats
Those who knit and crochet are needed to make hats for newborn babies. Last year 365 babies were born at Pullman Regional Hospital.
