Babysitter Course a Must for Teens!
Since babysitters assume a tremendous responsibility in providing care for parent's most precious possessions, we wanted to develop sitter skills to their highest level to make the sitter more responsive to the needs and demands of the children they are watching.
Emphasis in this course is placed on emergency care and accident prevention, with particular attention to the hazards that could occur at each stage of childhood development.
A pre-test, and final exam, entertainment box, and a course evaluation are used to assist in measuring the amount of learning achieved. Using discussion and lecture methods, 11-year old and up adolescents are taught how to negotiate contracts maturley and how to conduct themselves ethically, reliably and responsibly. Upon completion of this course, participants receive a Certificate of Completion. Child and Infant CPR and choking prevention are taught.
Classes are held at Pioneer Center (the former Franklin Elementary School), 240 SE Dexter in Pullman. To register, contact the instructor, Judi Dunn: Email, 509-338-3227. Classes cost $40 each.
