Pullman Regional Hospital Foundation’s Capital Campaign reaches major milestone in community campaign gifts received

While the Pullman Regional Hospital Foundation’s Capital Campaign still has $556,000 to raise to meet its $4 million goal, the volunteer community campaign committee responsible for bringing in gifts from the community-at-large has exceeded its goal.

Last September, the community group comprised of more than 40 volunteers and co-chaired by Lola and Howard Finch and Marvel and Howard Kimball, kicked off its community campaign to raise $500,000 to cover a portion of the new hospital building construction. As of the end of January, more than $625,000 in gifts and pledges was raised for 125 percent of the $500,000 goal.

“These results make a clear statement that our new hospital is appreciated by the citizens of the Pullman region,” said Megan Guido, executive director of the Pullman Regional Hospital Foundation.

“The Community Campaign was very successful and we are so thankful for the generous contributions made by donors and volunteers to provide state-of-the-art healthcare to our citizens,” said Guido.

“Now it is important we complete our work,” she said. “We will continue to focus on securing gifts & pledges to meet the $3.8 million needed to take advantage of the Murdock Charitable Trust “topping off” grant we recently received.”

In December, the Pullman Regional Hospital Foundation received a $200,000 challenge grant from the Murdock Charitable Trust based in Vancouver, Washington. Conditions of the grant are that the Foundation must raise $3.8 million of its overall $4 million goal to receive the full $200,000. To date, $556,000 is needed to meet this requirement.
