Are you ready for baby?

All mothers delivering at Pullman Regional are encouraged to schedule a 1 hour appointment at BirthPlace when they’re between 32 and 36 weeks pregnant.

This personalized visit will give you the opportunity to

• Fill out pre-registration paperwork for your hospital stay
• Answer your health history questions so you don’t have to do it when you’re in labor
• Read and fill out a variety of paper work so you don’t have to do it in labor or after your baby arrives
• Additionally you can:

• get education on new mother care and/or baby care
• watch educational DVD’s (breastfeeding, baby care, safety, SIDS…)
• have your previously used car seat checked for usability and recalls (bring the seat with you)
• get assistance with correctly installing your car seat in your car (bring the seat with you)
• tour the department
• find out estimated hospital costs for you and your baby
• get info on filing a paternity affidavit

Appointments are available Mondays between 8 a.m. and 12 noon as well as Wednesdays between 2 p.m. and 6 p.m. Schedule your visit by calling BirthPlace at 336-7401.

When you call you’ll be asked for insurance information as well. This will allow our billing department to prepare an estimate for you on how much you can expect to owe on your hospital bill for you and your baby.

We encourage you to have your partner join you at your Ready for Baby visit. In order to avoid distractions, we prefer that you find childcare for any children you have rather than bringing them along.
