For the 10th consecutive year, Pullman Regional Hospital was named one of the ‘Most Wired’ Hospitals in the nation. The 18th annual, ‘Most Wired’ survey is administered by the Hospitals & Health Networks, which recognizes hospitals for utilizing information technology to better connect health care providers and patient information.
For the past 10 years, Pullman Regional Hospital has been recognized for its commitment and dedication to continuously updating information technology systems to improve communication and patient safety.
The ‘Most Wired’ survey covers all efforts to improve IT efficiency in hospitals with a focus on patient care and patient safety. Some examples include patient portal functionality for access to health information; electronic bedside medication verification, electronic physician order entry and use of the electronic patient medical record. Additionally, Pullman Regional Hospital shares information on its Web site on quality scores and patient safety measures. This is part of the hospital’s commitment to transparency and using data to inform consumers.
This year 2,146 hospitals are represented in the 680 completed surveys or roughly 34 percent of US hospitals, according to HealthCare’s Most Wired.
