Pullman Regional Hospital Foundation Hosts 11th Annual Golf Classic on July 9

May 12, 2016

Golfers of all skill levels are invited to join the Pullman Regional Hospital Foundation on the green for the 11th Annual Golf Classic on Saturday, July 9th at Palouse Ridge Golf Club in Pullman. The Golf Classic is presented by Columbia Bank and supports Pullman Regional Hospital’s highest needs, which includes the Surgery Expansion Project.

“Past participants call our tournament the most fun tournament in the region,” said Rueben Mayes, Chief Development Officer for Pullman Regional Hospital. “We ensure our golfers have a great time while benefitting a great cause.”

“I was invited to play in my first Pullman Regional Hospital golf tournament from Dr. Sanford Ward—4 years ago—and I have participated every year since,” said PJ Sanchez, 2016 Golf Classic Planning Committee Chair. “Whether you are directly involved with the hospital or not, it is an event that brings the community together to benefit OUR hospital. It’s not about being an avid golfer; it is for a cause much bigger than that!”

In addition to team and individual prizes there are also raffles for landing on the green, a Chip Challenge to encourage friendly competition, and a chance to putt for $10,000. A hole-in-one on select holes gives players a chance to win iPads, even a new car—a 2016 Jeep Cherokee Sport.

Returning this year is The Nike Experience, where participants receive $75 in Nike Bucks with their registration to purchase Nike apparel or equipment at discounted prices.

The tournament begins at 8:30 am with a shotgun start and 4-person scramble format. Registration is $150 per player and includes $75 in Nike bucks, green fees, range balls, cart, breakfast, lunch, and automatic entry for a chance to putt for $10,000. Guests are welcome to attend the luncheon, catered by Banyans on the Ridge, for $35.

Space is limited, and registration is open until July 1. Register online for the golf tournament and luncheon by at www.pullmanregional.org/golfclassic or call Alison Weigley, Tournament Coordinator, at 509-332-2041 for more information.
