Being Mortal, a Frontline documentary that features surgeon Dr. Atul Gawande, will be shown on Friday, April 21 at 6 p.m. - 8 p.m. at Foursquare Church on 135 N. Grand Ave in Pullman. The film, which features the hopes of patients and families facing terminal illness, is being sponsored by Pullman Regional Hospital, Friends of Hospice, Pullman Family Medicine and Palouse Medical and is part of National Healthcare Decisions Day, which promotes the importance of Advance Care Planning for end-of- life.

 

The one hour film will be followed by a panel discussion on Advance Care Planning and how to communicate wishes about end-of-life preferences. The panel will include Ben Adkins, M.D., Rod Story, M.D. and trained Advance Care Planning facilitators.

 

The film and panel discussion are free and open to the public. No registration is required.
