Breast Cancer Support Group

The mission of the Breast Cancer Support Group of the Palouse is to support and enhance the well-being of any person with a personal history of breast cancer, and to educate the community about this illness and its possible treatments. Available interest earnings from The Roberta McFadden Memorial Endowment are used to promote and underwrite these activities, as well as projects stemming from them.

The Breast Cancer Support Group was founded in March 1995 by Roberta McFadden and Darlene Ames. During our first year, Judy Rooney, M.S.W., was the Group's facilitator. Catherine Murphy, R.N., has served as our medical resource person from the beginning and is our current facilitator.

The Breast Cancer Support Group of the Palouse is open to any woman or man with a personal history of breast cancer. Members are persons with such a history who have attended at least one meeting.
