Pullman Regional 2025 Annual Report
Pullman Regional is a community leader in integrated health and healing activities where our values guide and inspire, and science and technology quietly enable people to comfort, encourage, and heal.
A Message from the CEO

What a year. In 2025, we turned a simple promise into action: when you need care, we say yes.
That commitment guided everything we did. We focused on recruiting and retaining family and adult medicine providers so more people in our community can access timely, high-quality care. At the same time, we reimagined how care is delivered—building a more connected, team-based model that surrounds each patient with the support they need to stay healthy.
This means your physician’s time with you is focused and meaningful, while a broader care team—including nutrition and behavioral health specialists—helps you navigate the day-to-day realities of your health.
One of the most powerful examples of this approach is our integrated behavioral health program. In 2025, we facilitated 435 warm hand-offs, connecting patients directly to mental health professionals during their primary care visit. No delay. No second appointment. Just immediate, compassionate support when it matters most.
We also continued to expand access to specialized care close to home. Our Sports Medicine program grew significantly, strengthening support for local high school athletes and increasing access to orthopedic expertise through our partnership with Inland Orthopaedics Surgery & Sports Medicine Clinic.
Our investment in mental health extends beyond our hospital walls. Through our partnership with Washington State University, our clinicians are meeting students where they are—providing care directly on campus and helping address a critical and growing need.
And in November, we reached an exciting milestone: we broke ground on our Patient Care Expansion Project. This investment represents our future—one where access is easier, care is more coordinated, and our facilities match the needs of a growing community.
None of this happens without trust. I am deeply proud of what we’ve accomplished together, and grateful for the confidence you place in us. It is our privilege to care for you, your families, and this community we call home.
Matt Forge, Chief Executive Officer, Pullman Regional Hospital

Primary Care
A primary care physician is your gateway to healthcare! They take care of the whole patient, in contrast to specialists who focus only on one organ system. If a specialist consultation is needed, primary care doctors help patients determine who to see, and they work to ensure coordinated care between physicians. They are the first stop for all healthcare needs and foster long-term relationships with patients and their families. If you ever need a doctor for an illness, injury, or condition, it’s helpful to already have established care with a physician who knows and understands your health history, family history, and current medications (if any).

Listen to learn how to help an accidental sunburn and, more importantly, how to prevent one.
Inclusive Primary Care
Primary care is a necessary component of wellness. But, those in the LGBTQIA+ community may face challenges finding inclusive primary care. Pullman Regional Hospital works to help these individuals receive the supportive, compassionate care they deserve.
“There are a lot of things in LGBTQIA+ services that are the same as any primary care, which includes preventative routine care, sexual and reproductive health,” explains Dr. Kaz Brodsky, a family medicine physician at Pullman Family Medicine.
Family Medicine Residency Program
At the heart of healthcare are family medicine physicians. These doctors provide comprehensive health care through all stages of life, developing lasting, caring relationships with patients and their families. There is a critical need for family medicine physicians nationwide. The state of Washington is no exception. In rural areas, such as eastern Washington, it's one of the most difficult fields of medicine to recruit and retain physicians. Washington State University's Elson. S. Floyd College of Medicine and Pullman Regional Hospital are partnering to develop a solution by creating a Family Medicine Residency Program based in Pullman, WA.
