The Total Joint Replacement Preparation Class provides comprehensive patient education to those considering or scheduled for joint replacement surgery.  Patients who attend a class, either in-person or online, feel more confident heading into their total joint replacement surgery and have a greater success rate post-surgery. The class will teach you how to prepare for your surgery to achieve the best outcome, introduce you to your Total Joint Replacement Team, and inform you of what you can expect after surgery and during rehabilitation. Patients have the option to either attend classes in-person or watch the class online.

Maile Keller, PTA

Physical Therapist Assistant and Orthopedic Care Coordinator

Maile is the primary instructor of the Joint Replacement Preparation Class. As a Physical Therapist Assistant, she has 20 years of experience in direct patient care and specializes in physical medicine and rehabilitation. As the Orthopedic Care Coordinator, she will help guide you through the process of your total joint surgery – from start to finish. As soon as your appointment is scheduled, she is available to answer any questions you have, remind you of important tips to remember before surgery, help coordinate your post-surgery care options, and so much more. Maile knows what it takes to make your experience as easy and seamless as possible.

 

Attend the Joint Replacement Preparation Class in Person

Classes are 90 minutes long and are free for patients. Bring a family member or caregiver and learn how to best prepare for your surgery and recovery.
