Frequent Questions

When is the hospital open?

We provide around-the-clock care for all of our patients, and our Emergency Department is open 24/7.

The doors to the main entrance are open 5:30 am to 6:00 pm.

Access outside of these times is through the Emergency Department entrance, located in the back of the building.

When are visiting hours?

As a hospital, we take the responsibility of keeping COVID-19  from spreading very seriously, and we've implemented some changes to keep our patients safe.

Current (July 2021) Visitor Guidelines*:

  • Visitation hours are 8am to 6pm. In the case of a special circumstance, with approval, these hours may be extended.
  • Masks are required in all healthcare facilities, like ours.
  • At this time, we are allowing visitors, who are essential to the patient’s wellbeing and care.
  • Unless approval is provided for a special circumstance, visitors must be aged 12 or older.
  • All visitors must check in upon entry, complete a health screening, wear a mask and a name badge in the hospital.
  • Visitors with COVID-19 symptoms will be encouraged to seek testing and asked to leave

Current (July 2021) Visitor Guidelines by Department:

  • Special considerations are always given for end-of-life patients or other special circumstances through provider, clinical coordinator, department director approval.
  • Inpatients: 1 visitor per day.
  • Pediatric patients: 2 visitors per day, limited to parents or guardians.
  • COVID-19 patients: No visitors, except in very special circumstances/end-of-life care.
  • Emergency Department: *Depending on patient volumes* 1 chaperone or support person. Pediatric emergency patients: 2 chaperones, limited to parents or guardians.
  • BirthplaceA healthy patient may have 2 visitors, limited to a spouse/partner with an additional birthing support person.
  • Same Day Services/Surgery: 1 chaperone or support person.
  • Out Patient Services (Imaging/Lab): 1 chaperone or support person.
  • Summit Therapy & Health Services: 1 chaperone or support person. To limit the number of people in our waiting area, chaperones or support persons may wait in their vehicle.
  • Clergy: patients will be allowed access to clergy as requested. Consideration will be given in allowing clergy visits in compassionate care situations including end-of-life care for COVID-19 positive patients.

Where do I register as a patient?

Pullman Regional Hospital patients are registered in one of three main areas:

  • Outpatient Services
  • Same Day Surgery
  • Emergency Department

Patients are also registered by departments in Behavioral Health, the Specialty Clinics, the Laboratory and Summit Therapy & Health Services.

Outpatient Services (OPS): Laboratory, Dietary, Sleep Lab, Respiratory Therapy, and Imaging services. Staffed Monday through Friday 7:00am to 8:00pm, and weekends 8:00am to 2:00pm. Phone: (509) 336-7614. All services require a physician order.

Same Day Surgery (SDS): Patients are pre-registered prior to their surgical procedures and registered on the day of their procedure. Patients are registered for infusions, injections, transfusions, endoscopy and surgery. Staffed Monday through Friday 5:30am to 5:00pm. Phone: (509) 336-7612. All services require a physician order.

Emergency Department (ED): Patients are registered for emergencies and the Travel Clinic. Staffed at all times 24 hours a day. Phone: (509) 336-7365.

Where should I park?

All parking spots are free on our campus, and you are welcome to park in any of the designated paved lots.

Is there wi-fi?

All Pullman Regional Hospital, patients and visitors have access to our free wireless internet. Choose prhguest. No password is needed.

Is there a way to send cards to patients online?

Yes! If you have a family member or friend staying at Pullman Regional Hospital, you can send them a complimentary greeting card. Click here to submit your message and a member of our Volunteer Services team will write it in a greeting card and deliver it to the patient.

Where can we get something to eat?

The Red Sage Café is known for really great food. Pandemic safety restrictions mean we're closed to the public right now, but we're working toward re-opening in the very near future.

Patients have always enjoyed free room service from the Red Sage Café, and currently we're making that available to their visitors.

Is there a gift shop in the hospital?

Yes! Diane's Gift Garden is staffed by volunteers from our Auxiliary. You can find a great selection of cards, gifts for a new baby, locally made hand-crafted gifts, jewelry, clothing, WSU Cougar items, and holiday decor.

We want to make sure you are able to receive the care you need, when you need it – without financial concerns standing in your way.
