About Pullman Regional Allergy & Immunology

Allergic conditions can disrupt your comfort, activity, and overall quality of life. Our goal is to help you find the root cause of your allergy and create a tailored treatment plan for you. Led by Dr. Kerry Drain, MD, Pullman Regional Allergy & Immunology will provide outpatient evaluation and treatment for common allergic, respiratory, skin, and immune-related conditions.
Appointments will be by referral only. The clinic serves both children and adults needing evaluation, diagnosis, treatment planning, follow-up, or selected procedures related to allergy and immunology.  
 
Pullman Regional Allergy & Immunology is conveniently located across the street from the Pullman Regional Hospital campus at Corporate Point alongside Palouse Psychiatry & Behavioral Health.

Our Provider

Kerry Drain 1-1

Kerry L. Drain, M.D. has worked as a board-certified allergist and immunologist since 2003. She is also board certified in Internal Medicine and Pediatrics.

With 30 years of clinical experience, Dr. Drain's path to medicine began early in life. Growing up in a family affected by allergies and experiencing the loss of her grandmother to asthma, she developed an interest in helping others manage their health and improve their quality of life. That passion continued throughout her medical training, where she discovered an interest in using targeted treatments to help patients make meaningful changes in their lives.

Dr. Drain’s philosophy of care stems from a deep sympathy for her patients rooted in her own experiences, believing that if you just listen, patients and their families will often give you the diagnosis. She wants her patients to know she is dedicated to helping them live better lives through the significant advancements made in asthma and allergy treatments over the past decade.

In her free time, Dr. Drain enjoys tending to her orchard and bees, caring for 36 chickens and 3 turkeys, and practicing taekwondo as a first-degree black belt working toward her second degree. She is married to the love of her life and has 2 sons.

Our Services & Treatments

If you are experiencing a life-threatening emergency, please call 911 or go to the nearest emergency room.

The clinic may evaluate and manage the following conditions, based on physician judgment and clinic readiness:

  • Allergic and nonallergic rhinitis
  • Allergic conjunctivitis
  • Asthma, including evaluation, treatment adjustment, and severe-asthma assessment
  • Chronic urticaria and angioedema
  • Atopic dermatitis and other common allergic skin conditions
  • Food allergy and anaphylaxis risk
  • Medication allergy concerns
  • Insect-sting allergy
  • Recurrent infections and possible immune deficiency
  • Selected eosinophilic conditions
  • Selected mast-cell-related conditions
  • Other allergy or immunology concerns appropriate for an outpatient clinic
  • New and follow-up allergy and immunology visits
  • History, physical examination, review of prior records, and treatment planning
  • Medication management for common allergic conditions and asthma
  • Asthma action plans and inhaler teaching
  • Food-allergy and anaphylaxis education
  • Epinephrine autoinjector education
  • Allergen avoidance and environmental-control counseling
  • Initial evaluation of recurrent infections or possible immune deficiency
  • Referral or co-management for highly complex or rare conditions
  • Percutaneous skin-prick testing for common environmental allergens and selected foods
  • Ordering and interpretation of appropriate laboratory testing
  • Basic spirometry, with bronchodilator testing when appropriate
  • Asthma control questionnaires and other simple clinical assessment tools
  • Review of outside pulmonary testing, imaging, and specialist records
  • Standard prescription treatment
  • Nebulized bronchodilator treatment when clinically needed
  • First-dose administration and observation for approved sublingual allergy tablets
  • Selected biologic injections after medication-specific workflows and approvals are complete
  • Administration of allergy injections prepared by an approved external partner, after receipt, storage, labeling, administration, documentation, and reaction-response processes are validated

Non-Contracted or Other Insurance Carriers

We are willing to bill any insurance for you. However we are not contracted with all of the insurance companies. This means that you may be responsible for more of your bill.

Co-pays or co-insurance payments are expected at the time of service. We do expect some payment at each visit. For your convenience, we do take Master Card and Visa.

Patients Without Insurance Coverage

We offer a 20% discount for patients that do not have insurance and pay their bill at the time of service. Payment plans are available if you are unable to pay in full.

  • Bring your immunization records.
  • Bring any medications you are currently using.
  • Bring your insurance card. Insurance co-payments are expected at time of service. If you have no insurance, please contact us.
