About the Program

The Senior Nutrition Program (SNP) provides congregate meals, home-delivered meals, and other nutrition support to help seniors remain healthy, independent, and connected to their communities. This program is in partnership through Aging and Long Term Care of Eastern Washington (ALTCEW), a social service agency that helps older adults and adults impacted by mobility barriers discover resources needed to plan, prepare for, and support living independently. Pullman Regional Hospital has integrated the Senior Nutrition Program within its inclusive care model, falling under Integrated Care Services.

Congregate meal service eligibility includes:

  • All people 60 years of age or older (the primary participant's spouse may dine with the participant regardless of age)

  • Individuals with a disability, regardless of age, who live with and accompany older eligible individuals to the congregate site
  • An eligible participant's unpaid caregiver aged 18-59 whose meal is paid for through Title IIIE Family Caregiver Support Program or other funds
    • Non-eligible individuals may qualify in accordance with the Area Agency on Aging
