This 16-week unpaid, credit-based internship is designed for college students seeking practical experience in the administrative side of healthcare through immersion in five essential non-clinical hospital departments: Marketing, Human Resources, Foundation, Finance, and Education. The program provides students with structured exposure to hospital operations while helping them connect classroom learning to real-world healthcare administration.

Students rotate through 4 departments in four-week blocks, participating in departmental meetings, observing workflows, assisting with projects, and engaging with hospital professionals. Throughout the semester, interns gain an understanding of how non-clinical teams support patient care, employee engagement, organizational growth, and community impact.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

We ask our student interns to commit to 10 hours a week, between the hours of 8am-5pm, Monday-Friday. This is a semester long commitment. We do not have intern shifts during Thanksgiving break and Spring break as these are holiday breaks for students.

We are happy to write a letter for you for college credit as our program is designed to offer practical experience to coincide with your college course work. With working in 4 departments over the semester, you will get a broad overview of the department, understand the weekly workflow, see large scale projects, and be able to tie what you’ve learned in class with the real-world process.

We ask our students to dress business casual, as this is a professional work environment and during the internship we ask you to join in projects and meetings and want you to look and feel part of the team.
