How old do you have to be to volunteer at Pullman Regional Hospital?

We currently accept volunteers who are 18 and older.

What is the minimum monthly hour commitment of a volunteer?
We ask that volunteers serve a minimum of 20 hours per semester with a commitment of two semesters.
Can I earn hours for my college program volunteering?

We work closely with both Washington State University and University of Idaho to provide meaningful opportunities for college programs across multiple disciplines.

Volunteers need to provide proof of (2) MMR, (2) Varicella, TDap, Hepatitis B, and a complete COVID-19 vaccinations, as well as a two-step or QuantiFERON Gold TB Test.

What is the difference between the student and community volunteer programs?

Both areas of volunteering give back to the hospital in a variety of ways. Our student programs have learning components throughout the experiences and focus heavily on relationship building. Our community volunteers are a long term commitment, the average length of service in those programs is roughly 10 years!

Can my group come in for a one time volunteer experience?

Because of the nature of the hospital, all volunteers must pass a health clearance and background check prior to volunteering which makes it extremely difficult for one time groups to come in. There are many ways to serve the hospital as a group off site, contact the volunteer coordinator for more details.

Do I pick my volunteer assignment?

Assignments are made based on hospital need and the interest and skillset of each individual volunteer.
